STOP THE VIOLENCE
START THE HEALING

16 million Christians are displaced. Many are persecuted. Stand as one with them.

act now

Violence against Christians in Sub-Saharan Africa is unprecedented – and it’s driving people from their homes.

Open Doors estimates 16.2 million Christians are displaced. Many are persecuted for their faith. The very survival of the church is at risk – unless we act.

Your support is urgently needed.

Violent persecution in Sub-Saharan Africa is on a scale never seen before. Christians are being murdered, raped and kidnapped. Islamic extremists target believers and want to destroy the church.

Churches in Sub-Saharan Africa are calling upon the body of Christ around the world to stand with them, as one, to stop the violence and start the healing.

Our goal is to join them in raising a million prayers and petitions to strengthen African Christians and bring the world’s attention to the violence suffered by followers of Jesus in Sub-Saharan Africa.

TWO THINGS YOU CAN DO RIGHT NOW:

WHAT IS ARISE AFRICA?

It’s an invitation to you: Unite with your brothers and sisters in Sub-Saharan Africa and stand with them, as one, to stop the violence and start the healing.
ARISE AFRICA is run by Open Doors, in partnership with Association of Evangelicals in Africa, among others. It’s a four-year campaign which aims to:
  • Bring sustained awareness to the problem of extremist violence and its impact on Christians in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • See people like you actively praying and speaking out against violent persecution.
  • Support four million persecuted Christians in Africa spiritually, physically and emotionally.
