Italy: Vandals cause church service to be cancelled

Show: false / Country: Europe /
The news outlet Tuttoggi reported on 6 May 2019 that the Catholic church of San Girolamo in Narni had been vandalized. Statues, benches and kneelers had been overturned and damaged; wires were also torn from the sound system. Rachel Niko, persecution analyst at World Watch Research, comments: "The damage in the church was so great that the local priest had to cancel the Sunday service. This is clearly to be classified as an example of the Persecution engine Secular intolerance. It is hoped that the authorities will find the perpetrators; if such incidents are met with impunity, it is likely that more anti-Christian actions will take place."
