Mexico: "Exorcismo Magno" to clean the country of witchraft

Show: false / Country: Mexico /
LifeSiteNews reported on 30 June 2015 about a remarkable event that happened in the cathedral of the city of San Luis Potosƒ. On 16 June, a group of Catholic bishops performed an exorcism on the entire country. This "Exorcismo Magno" was motivated by the desire to reduce the high levels of violence, and large numbers of‚  drug cartels and abortion in the country. Dennis Pastoor, persecution analyst for World Watch Research (WWR), comments: "It is not up to WWR to discuss the validity of exorcism, but Mexico is undeniably subject to a cycle of extreme violence. The rise of transnational networks and violent gangs related to organized crime and drug trafficking has created a culture of fear and impunity and corruption, especially in northern regions, where the influence of Satanic cults and witchcraft is increasing and spreading. The extreme violence creates fear and pushes Christians and churches behind their front door. Moreover, the influence of Satanic cults and witchcraft is increasing and spreading throughout the region. For example, the Santa Muerte movement in Mexico came into existence about thirty years ago and turned violent in recent years."
